Fiat/Alfa Romeo opens its largest service centre in Tallaght Airton Motor Centre, Europe’s largest, most modern Fiat / Alfa Romeo motor service centres was officially opened in Dublin yesterday evening (Thursday 25th April) by Tom Kitt, T.D., Minister for Labour, Trade & Consumer Affairs.

Fiat/Alfa Romeo opens its largest service centre in TallaghtAirton Motor Centre is located on the increasingly busy Airton Road in the rapidly expanding suburb of Tallaght and has 30 service bays to cater for both cars and light commercial vehicles. As well as being the first Fiat Alfa Romeo Service Dealer in Ireland the Company is also designated a Fiat Light Commercial Vehicle Professional Dealer, the third such appointment in Dublin.

The new €5 million facility at Airton Road is designed to give owners of Fiat and Alfa Romeo vehicles access to the fastest and most efficient servicing in Ireland, be it a routine scheduled service or an emergency service.

Thanks to the highly skilled staff, the very large and well-stocked Parts Department and those 30 service bays, off-road times for drivers will be dramatically reduced. Many customers who leave their vehicles in for service in the morning will have them back by lunchtime the same day. There is also a 25,000 sq. ft. showroom dedicated exclusively to new and used Fiat LCVs.

Managing Director Glenn White and his fellow directors Padraic Mooney and Richard Murphy are recognised as being amongst the more far-sighted people in the motor industry. Each has established his reputation based on understanding the needs of customers and providing outstanding customer service. They saw the need for such a specialised facility. It is estimated that there are over 24,000 Fiat and Alfa Romeo vehicles currently on the road in Dublin alone and this provides a huge pool of potential customers for the new venture

Complimenting the Directors on their initiative, Fiat Auto Ireland M.D. Michael Howe said that Airton Motor Centre represented a view into the future and that it should make Fiat and Alfa drivers in the area amongst the best cared-for motorists in Europe. “This level of specialisation and commitment is the way forward for our industry “ he said. “ By offering a better service Airton Motor Centre can expect to attract a very high volume of business. I’m also pleased to see that Fiat and Alfa Romeo drivers in the Dublin area are now amongst the best-catered-for in Europe”, he added.
